Jimi Hendrix and Billy Cox moved to Clarksville, Tennessee in September 1962, and formed the band the King Kasuals.
He soon learned to play the guitar with his teeth and commented on it saying, “The idea of doing that came to me … in Tennessee. Down there you have to play with your teeth or else you get shot. There’s a trail of broken teeth all over the stage.”
