He soon met the American rapper C-Loc, who mentored him and taught him the basics of music. He joined the rap group Concentration Camp in 1996.

C-Loc, Young Bleed, and six more people made up the group. Boosie BadAzz joined and soon became the group’s youngest member. He also appeared on C-Loc’s It’s A Gamble, the group’s fifth album, released on January 7, 2010.

He also appeared on the group’s third studio album, Camp III: Thug Brothas, released in the same year. When Young Bleed left, he quickly emerged as the group’s most influential member.

He released Youngest of da Camp, his first studio album, in 2000. In 2001, he gained his big break when he joined Pimp C’s Trill Entertainment.

And he released his second studio album, For My Thugz, on January 1st, 2002. He released his debut mixtape, Boosie, that same year. He soon worked with American rapper Webbie on the albums Ghetto Stories (released in 2003) and Azz Mixtape Vol. 1 (released in 2004).

Both Sides of the Track and Bad Ass were two albums he co-wrote and produced with South Coast Coalition in 2004. Tarlaysia Hatch’s father soon collaborated with Lava House Records to release the 2005 album United We Stand, Divided We Fall.

He also collaborated with Pat Lowrenzo to release Street Code. He also dropped a promotional track in the same year titled Bad Ass (Advance) for Bad Azz.

He also signed a contract with Warner Bros. Records in that same year. Following up on Bad Ass Advance, Trill Entertainment released Bad Ass Mixtape Vol.1 in 2006.

In the same year, he released the mixtapes Streetz Iz Mine and DJ Drama (Gangsta Grillz). In 2007, he continued to work with Webbie to create Bad Azz Mixtapes Vol. 2.

Then, in 2008, he released the Da Beginning Mixtape and 4th Of July Bash. Boosie BadAzz, real name Torrence Ivy Hatch Jr., released his fourth studio album, Superbad: The Return of Boosie Bad Azz, on September 15, 2009.

A Compilation CD with C-Loc was dropped in 2010 while he was in prison for drug possession titled Unbreakable was released. His next album titled Incarcerated was soon released.

He released the mixtape album Gone Til in 2010 with brand-new tracks on it. In 2011, he also worked with Quick to release Hit After Hit 3.

After his release from prison in 2014, he signed a contract with Atlantic Records. He appeared in several tracks, including 2 Chainz’s Wuda Cuda Shuda, Dorrough Music’s Beat Up the Block, DJ Mustard’s Face Down, and others.

He released his mixtape Life After Deathrow that same year. The following year, he released Touchdown 2 Cause Hell, his sixth studio album, which included 17 songs.

The father of Tarlaysia Hatch has also tried his hands at acting and has appeared in movies such as Glass Jaw, Last Dayz and Ghetto Stories: The Movie, and Gangsta Musik.
